The harmonic shapes, strong and sweet at the same time, that characterize my jewels flow naturally, and often unconsciously, inspired by the natural context in which I lived. Essential forms that celebrate the preciousness of nature.
Living in Australia for more than twelve months made me realize the possibility of encountering an astonishing land, whereas not just the nature should embrace my vision, but also what the real landowners -of this enormous and fascinating territory: the aboriginal and indigenous population- have created through time, between a symbiotic relationship with their territory -including fauna and flora.
My experience of life, within this amazing journey called Australia, included visiting the genuine territory of Australian real landowners, being in contact with some of their people and appreciating their art, handcrafting, music; besides being nourished by documentaries and exhibitions of their life, history and activities.
As a passionate observer, I would be always impressed by the hypnotic quality of their rhythms. Not just in terms of music, but also applied to any artistic expression: from the literature and sounds of their songs, to the movement and colors of their painting. From the resonances and frequencies expressed through the harmonics of a didgeridoo, to a clear night sky of the desert. The immense sunlight radiates their life.
These pieces are meant to honor the Australian Aboriginal and indigenous population, whilst fully evidencing my journey.
Each of them is a suggestive intuition, arrived either through the magnificence at the desert´s salt lakes or through the ants’ stomp in front our footsteps.
